Bio |
Greetings, I’m a systems analyst at IUPUI that has a bachelor’s degree in CS. I spend my free time building web sites and experimenting with human computer interaction. I’m currently enrolled at IUPUI in the HCI Master’s program. Part of my thesis is about increasing the deployment of open source software by creating better user experiences through software and design. If you have questions, feel free to contact me. The long bio… I began my higher education career as a finance major. I was particularly interested in merger’s and acquisitions. I realize that sounds fake but after seeing Pretty Woman as a teenager, I was totally in love with the idea of taking a struggling company, figuring out which parts of it are still viable, spinning them off into another company, and then selling the thing for a profit. I also had a huge crush on Julia Roberts ;) Finance didn’t work out for me because it turns out I’m an engineer at heart. However, my strong grasp of abstract thoughts; e.g., numbers, allowed me to excel at computer science. I have even dabbled in electrical engineering. Now that I’m graduated and ready to move on to the next phase of my life, for whatever reason my engineer heart has turned even more nerdy and at the same time, compassionate. Basically, I want to spread open source software to the world. Now, don’t get me wrong, I want to make a ton of money as well. That’s why I’m not only developing interfaces for clumsy open source tools, I’m also wrapping financial tools in frameworks that will allow people to handle their finances online just as easily as they can create a Word Press blog. To fund this, I’ve built a piece of software that helps manage foreign exchange currency trading (aka Top Forex Trading Software) by tracking forex signals (for no other reason than that forex is really hot/popular right now). Basically, I’m testing my hand at tracking data, points, and time in a relatively sophisticated backend that displays through some clever javascript. It should be pretty slick once it’s released. In the future, I want to learn how to play piano, have a family, dog, and travel to Russia to see the Jewish villages in Siberia. Again, if you want to contact me, please do so. |
