Hey guys, I am a newbie and I can not seem to figure out why my css and xhtml code will not show my images.  I am not sure what is going on.  Both have been validated.  My website is http://www.goodnewsportland.org and here is my css code:

body {
background
#ffff33;
}
div
#menut {
text-align center;
font-family Verdana;
background #99ffff;
height 100px;
width 80%;
margin-leftauto;
margin-right:auto;
}

div
#menu {
clear both;
height 75px;
width 80%;
background #ff9900;
margin-left auto;
margin-right auto;
margin-bottom 0;
}
div
#all {
background #ff9900;
margin-left auto;
margin-right auto;
width 80%;
}
h1 {
padding
30px;
font-size 40px;
font-weight bold;
}
div
#menul {
background #ff9900;
margin-left 0;
float left;
width 20%;
font-family Verdana;
font-size 16px;
}
div
#main {
background #ffffcc;
margin-left 20%;
width 80%;
font-size 12px;
font-family Verdana;
margin-right 10%;
margin-top : -27px;
height 1000px;
}
h2 {
font
-size 30px;
font-weight bold;
background #ff9900;
text-align center

Here is my xhtml code:

without looking through all your code, usually if an image doesn’t show at all it’s a pathing problem. check the paths to your images

It could also be that your photos are not adjusted well in photoshop…or whatever program you use to edit photos. This means that you may have to crop the image so that it has no spaces around the main picture.

hey guys thank for all the trouble shooting.  I think its my webserver. Check this out it kind of funny.  It looks like my webservice is screwing me over.  They just will not fix it.  Anyway I am probably going to use blogger if this keeps up and just switch to a company that actually takes responsibility for its service.  Here is the open ticket though.  Blue host usually has a better. If you guys think i am doing something wrong, please post it or email me.

goodnewsportland.org cant view images on page. http://www.goodnewsportland.org/GoodNewPortlands.html supposed to display top.jpg but nothing showing. Permissions and ownership ok.
customer validated.

Please let me know if you have any further questions,

Now I am convinced it is not my code. Look at this site downloaded onto a free webserver. I have nickname this: http://bluehost.freewebpage.org/GoodNewPortlands.html
the code is exactly the same minus the advertisement inserted via table.
You can also look at this example as well.
http://bluehost.freewebpage.org/GoodNewPortlands.html
Notice that the img tag is the same on both sites:
freewebpage
top.jpg
bluehost
http://www.goodnewsportland.org/GoodNewPortlands.html
top.jpg
Exactly the same.
Hope that helps

Sincerely
Noah
