Think of it this way. You can design a site in Tables and have around 500 lines of code. And if you do the same layout in Divs you will get around 75 lines of code. The search engines will have a harder time digesting what’s good in the tables layout. While they breeze through the Div layout and pick out the important content.  More than anything.

I think divs are the only way to go, divs are better for SEO (as long as you keep the number of divs down) and are easier to maintain in the long run, divs can improve the design of your site. Most developers have moved over to designing web sites in divs and not tables.

yes div is more effective and easy than tables.tables make website design complicated in terms of coding.so i prefer div for attractive and cool websites.

DIV is very much better compared to Tables.
