Very nicely done Mr. Charlton.
Your pages horizontally fall off the right edge of the monitor at 800x600. No big deal. I typically safely center a fixed-width page of 720px nicely or 96% just snugs in, too.
Kudos to you for espousing W3C standards. Less than 1% of the 10 billion plus web pages are valid. You’ve placed yourself among the elite of the elite. Does the Queen give knighthood for your good deed!?!
If you are targeting business accounts remember that business = money. I would list “web standards saves you MONEY because ... ” first, ON TOP. Then accessibiliy, usability, etc towards the bottom. That may help in catching a business person’s eye very quickly, pick up the phone, and call you. Speaking of which, probably place a “CONTACT ME NOW” link of sorts somewhere near the “I CAN SAVE YOU MONEY using web standards”. That might nudge the undecided viewer into calling you quickly.
You can also add that re-design or site maintenance (web sites are always becoming, a work in progress) is less expensive following web standards. I’m sure you’ve crashed your head against the desk a few times trying to re-work or maintain tables-based or other poorly scripted web pages. Changes on an external css to html are almost transparent and seamless.
Anything that which you can think of that associates SAVING MONEY with WEB STANDARDS is a plus for you.
Again, nice job and best of luck to you!
Kind Regards,
Al Toman
