Does anyone know of any FREE graphic design software that would let us create “apple” like glow/gradient filled images..?

for example : http://www.goowy.com/images/thumbs.jpg or look at my avatar picture..

BTW, I have tried trial versions of Gimp, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, MS Photodraw (although very primitive.. i get away creating those effects).

thanks in advance.

Oh right, that one is not for free…but it’s not too expensive if you do a lot of icons.

Hi, did you actually buy something from them? All I could see is they are selling icons.

I haven’t tried it, but that’s what I found while researching for an icon creator but ended up buying icons from elsewhere.  The site says “AWicons Pro allows searching, creating, editing and managing icons, cursors and other small imagery.” So it should create icons, but I think that page just says that if you buy their icon you get a discount.
