I have the basic html/css skills. I wanted to learn some php, javascript… etc (the natural progression in other words.) I wondered what course I should take. I have currently a choice between the national it centre, my local adult college or CIW the latter of those I have heard good things about. What do you guys think?

I would give a longer intro but you will find more about me as I write and contribute. I have a website which I built with my very limited (so far) ability in web design, alos using photshop for the visual element, feel free to comment, give advice etc.. :

The best way to find out is to see what other freelance designers in your area charge. Usually they’ll say this on their website, or contact them and approach them as if you’re shopping around as a client and see what they say.

Really depends where you’re at. I would say around $25 an hour would be reasonable depending on how long it takes you to build the site. I know this, somebody getting a 16 page website wouldn’t be paying less than $1000 in most cases.

Hope this helps.
