Can anyone tell me what is the best - affordable / free - software for getting a little bit of (subtle) animation into words on a masthead? - For example, getting words to come from the right of the screen when the screen is loaded and then settle into their rightful place or getting words to appear very small when the screen is loaded and then to increase to their right size.

At the moment, we are useing Macromedia Fireworks 8 and Expreession Web. We can get pictures to rotate (and therefore word images to rotate) but can’t get anything more fancy.

I’d appreciate any advice - especially if the software is fairly affordable, or even free. We’re new to website design and - so far - we seem to be spending more than the business brings in!!
