Being a proud Canadian I think this is awesome, though I must agree that the use of the map background is a little iffy. Makes the whole think look a little "dated". Otherwise is very nice.

Nice site in many ways, but with a little more thought and effort it could have been much, much better.
The map background does not extend all the way down the page on my system for example, and looks very bad at the bottom of the page.

That map background looks baaaaad! You can tell the designer has a small monitor. The map background is top left aligned and is tiny on my 24" monitor. Looks weird...
