I have had my head buried in my own projects so far I haven’t even been paying attention to anything else. This whole article has been such an eye opener. Seems I need to pay more attention to things and I need to get a handle on the HTML 5 spec. Thanks for the wakeup call!

...A helpful FAQ about what this means to webmasters.

I’m a webmaster and this doesnt mean anything to me :|

I type stuff up, press F5 (or ctrl F5) repeat in a few other browsers and IE6 (which we all know is not a browser at all but a byproduct of Massengil) and I’m done. All this W3c infighting doesnt mean anything to me… maybe my “give a shit” button is broken?

you need to fix that button, or in the interim, disable the “Be an asshole” button :)

You seem to have used Dreamweaver 8s existing template example and edited it to make that webpage. It is well organized no question in that. But you should know that to make good representation of your website you should make it look nicer. So more people may come.

There are two meanings to XHTML: technical and marketing. The technical kind (XHTML served using the application/xhtml+xml MIME type) is a formulation of HTML as an XML vocabulary. The marketing kind (XHTML served using the text/html MIME type) is processed just like HTML by browsers but the authors attempt to observe slightly different syntax rules in order to make it seem that they are doing something newer and shinier compared to HTML.

This is what i could find:On the same page that you’ve linked it says that DC stands for Dublin Core. Now, according to Google:Dublin Core is a 15-element metadata element set intended to facilitate discovery of electronic resourcesA simple set of metadata elements used in digital libraries, primarily to describe digital objects and for collections management, and for exchange of metadata.
