poor,whiny article -
SUMMARY:
(point 1) Opera, a team member, acts in own self-interest and requests sanctions on Microsoft
Says Microsoft is “anti-standards”
ERROR! the sky is falling!!
Browser Vendors Shouldnt Work on Standards for Browsers! They are all
(point 2) “Standards” were chosen ‘because they were ALREADY standard! (i.e. already supported by most browsers)
OH! The HUMANITY! we are followers, not Leaders! We should BREAK UP THE EXISTING GROUP and create our OWN NEW GROUP
making Irrelevant Specifications that no-one will implement/use!
(point 3…‘n’) blah blah bleh blah
yeah it’s pretty whiny but i think it provides a decent alternate interpretation of opera’s action against MS that goes beyond the common and very obvious “MS suck” attitude of forums such as slashdot et al.
yeah - it’s kinda stupid-the solution is not to break up and start over, but to continue to engage all parties.
The author also seems a bit miffed at being left out of the current process no doubt that colors his wish for a restart?
