Design News:

first news post i link to my site, first i make on here in a while, matt, jeff, nathan, don’t go anal eh? :)

Designers plagiarizing other designers logos…the community needs to open its eyes and help stop this ridiculous bs.

matt, next news post will be a good one, promise, this just needs to be shared with the community as it’s worse than having regular people ripping designs, this is just insane.

Also, George, i’d love to hear your say on the matter.

Oh and hi mark ;)

Moni, welcome back, I speak for most of us i’m sure when I say we missed you, and your controversial news posts. I’m not so sure what to think of that article, I mean it clearly shows that Dache was heavily influenced by RedFox logo, but as I read in the comments at LP and then over at Bolidea’s blog ( here’s their take ) where they claimed rights to the concept even though it had been plagiarized. It’s just a mess really, I think this company is not at all acting in a professional manner, and I believe Dache owes not only LogoMotive but the entire LP community an apology for the way he conducted himself.

We blogged about this too, it’s pretty bad and very unprofessional, Bolidea needs to straighten up their act and so does David Pache.

Moni, don’t worry about this news post, we needed a change on here and you bring it. welcome back.

Moni we missed your crazy ass - looking forward to your other serious news posts - as for this, I read about it on your blog and instantly new to look here. This is a shocker, Dache of all people? Wow. Who the hell is this Bolidea.com site anyway? they’re some small new company that will never be, at least not at the rate they’re going. But for Dache to copy a logo, and off of someone as talented as LogoMotive? Something id going on here, either Dache lost his mind or, well or he just lost his mind.

tanya thank you for the link to their article, it’s so full of crap too

Moni, you’re a really decent guy for doing this, standing up for designers and it’s not the first time you bring it to our attention that as designers we need to stick close, respect.

As for the issue at hand, I think Dache and Bolidea are dreaming and barking up the wrong tree

Personally, this Sloveniandesigner guy seems to be the whiny, prissy little byatch that gives decent logosexuals* everywhere a bad name!

I don’t know how many different ways you can draw a fox (or in both these cases, a small uncomfortable looking dog thing) out of triangles w/o one looking very much like the other!

Since the comparison, (in my legally uninformed opinion) does not have a leg to stand on, this “Sloveniandesigner” guy has dashed caution to the wind, as HIS comments and post on the other hand is clearly libelous, clearly defamatory and clearly threatening

As a BlackHat SEO and former security enthusiast I can promise you Dache, that unless that plagiarized logo over at ArtFox is removed, your life, and Bolidea’s will be hell, if you think it’s only a group of 10 people, think again because once this news makes it to the 5Fifths BlackHat Network, over 18thousand members will know about it, and those guys are not the friendliest group of people online, trust me

*cough* what the fu*ck is a “former security enthusiast” ??
If I was a little old lady, I would probably laugh so hard I’d pee myself, hey what the hell, I may as well, ‘cause this issue has piss written all over it!

* I WAS gonna say “homosexuals” but I thought “logosexuals” was funnier and more appropriate :)
(See how I ‘bend over backwards’ to not offend people?)

gossip UPDATE!

It turns out that the logo (alleged to have been ripped off) was itself (subconsciously)  ripped from another designer (although the designer says he never ripped it, he designed an almost identical logo independently)
Not withstanding all of this , the guy Logomotive, was offered money to sell his rights to his version to ArtFox (which had already invested money in printed stationary I suppose), which he foolishly (IMHO) refused, because he insisted that if Artsoft bought his rights, they couldnt use the logo of the OTHER guy! (so now he is asserting ownership rights not only over his stuff, but THEIR company as well!)
well, to cut a long story short, all the blackmail failed, ant ArtFox may be using the original guy (the alleged infringer) to make them a new logo, a fox tail with a pencil (which may be logically similar to LogoMotive’s mocking logo: A fox HEAD with a pencil!

Folks, it dont get any better than this!!  :D

Mark, it gets better…well it would if i was to announce i had been contacted to design ArtFox’s new logo, would really spice things up no? :D

btw, glad to see you having fun over there, if i can even call it that lol :P

LOL!!!

You sir, are an inflammatory, rabble rousing, trouble making, sunufabitch!

Thats why I love ya!! hahahah

Welcome back with a BANG,lol

I cant wait to see what’s your NEXT news story??

I’m thinking it’s something along the lines of President Obama secretly uses Tables instead of divs and swears that IE6 is the best browser for the economic stimulus!
(P.S. it would be SO cool if you designed their new logo! - maybe something along the lines of a Fox bandit?
