Screen Resolution Hack
One of the most practical solutions to solve our screen resolution problems. Sure it's double the work, but hey it works and we keep the few 800x600 users we get rather than scare them off!

“For your information, the optimal screen resolution for the WII Opera browser IS 800x600”
ahaha who cares. The Wii is a toy (don’t quote me on this but does it even display flash?) - use a computer.
“why would they have to be “computer illiterate?” if they have 800x600”
Because 800x600 is so old and used by so few people that surely if they came into contact with anybody computer literate they would say “boy, your monitor resolution sucks” and move them to 1024x768. Any old monitor 15inch and above should be able to do 1024x768, and all laptop monitors can.
“Like all those assholes who refuse to code for IE6, even tho it’s still like 50%”
From stats through my most user generic websites its about 40% IE6, 40% IE7. But yeh for sure, developing for IE6 is still a must! but 800x600 isn’t at 40% even, its less than a few % and dropping fast. Add to that the fact that every website these days is designed for 1024, surely the five 800x600 users are used to horizontal scrolling by now.
Was all that witty enough for you?
