Big tables can pose problems, both from a performance and usability standpoint. This article looks at how to mitigate them.

pah… the article was like a gaggle of old farts complaining about ‘kids today’.
It didnt have any answer to what to do with large mega tables (say, thousands and thousands of rows) BECAUSE THERE IS NONE!
data that large simply cannot be presented! What you do instead is present a summary of the data, totals, and a means for the user to sift through it themselves with filters and sub-queries.
